FUSION

Fusion glass is made by layering pieces of glass and melting them together in a kiln up to 1500 degrees, then bringing them to 960 degrees for an hour to make sure all the different glasses meld well together so they will not have weak stress points to crack if bumped.

Placing a clear piece of glass over the dichroic and melting them together creates the best sparkle possible.

One firing can take up to 6 hours in the oven, plus the time it takes to clean up, add holders and whatever else needs to be done for the finished product.
